Clement Acoustics was appointed in partnership with ERS Consultants by Butler and Young to provide acoustic consultancy services for the South London & Maudsley Hospital. In 2018 we were appointed on Douglass Bennett House, which comprised the demolition of the existing building and the construction of a new five storey building to accommodate an in-patient mental health facility, including 8 wards. Subsequently, in 2019 we were appointed on the Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People. The new £65m development includes outpatients, inpatients, research and clinical facilities. The building also accommodates a school, which delivers personalised education to the inpatients.

The consultancy service provided was development to be in line with the acoustic design guidelines made in the Health Technical Memorandum issued by the Department of Health.
